Chocolate At Easter
All the team at MSC love chocolate, even our dentists! Easter is known for it's many chocolatey treats. During this time of year, it can be quite easy for adults and children both to consume too much chocolate. As we all know, this can be terrible for our teeth, and waist line.
If you or your children are going to have chocolate during Easter, try and limit consumption to meal times only, as this helps the mouth fight against the negative impacts of the sugar in the chocolate. Brushing your teeth 30 minutes after your meal can also help maintain your oral health. Finally, think about changing the type of chocolate that you have. Dark chocolate is much better for you, and it contains less sugar than both milk and white chocolate.
It's important for both children and adults to maintain a good standard of dental health. The best way to keep on top of the dental health of your family is to book an appointment at your local Midlands Smile Centre dental practice.
We hope these tips help you have a tasty and enjoyable Easter break.
