Three quarters of all cases of gum disease are reported in people who smoke.
This means that giving up smoking will drastically reduce your chances of getting gum disease.
If you do smoke then it is particularly important that you have regular check-ups.
Just so that you know, our emergency number has changed. We now have a number of on-call staff who work on a rota basis. They will all provide the same friendly and helpful service that you are used to.
Please make sure you delete the old number and make a note of the new one - 07960 344 510.Contact Us
Congratulations to Saima, pictured below with Chrissy, from our Handsworth Wood practice. Saima recently won Handsworth Woods Switch on Your Smile Award. Which is voted for by patients at the practice.
You may have read recent reports about cross contamination, we are glad to report dental hygiene is incredibly important at Midlands Smile Centres. For many years we have been following the latest dental hygiene guide lines to prevent cross contamination.
You may not have realised that as well as sterilising tools between patients, we inspect every tool with a magnifying light to ensure they are in great condition. This makes dental work safer for both our patients and our staff.
